Loft conversation, a new trend

Recently I have notice a lot of clients who have bought houses through myself and have gone on straight away to add another bedroom by doing a loft conversation.

This is a great way of increasing bedroom space by up to 40% and a great way of getting another shower room into your home. Clients like having a master suite with an ensuite, as these tends to be much larger then the normal largest bedroom in the house. 

Loft conversation tend to cost between £40,000 to £60,000 depending on your finishing. This tends to help increase the value of your home in the short term by the same ammount you spend. 

So to do a loft conversation or not, I tend to say it's worth doing as it some times is more cost effective then upsizing in the short term.
